In order to produce good employment projections, our projections processes require many data inputs. These include historical employment time series for our state and substate industries, as our dependent variables. We also require time series for many independent variables. These include national employment series for each industry, national economic variables, and state and local population and personal income variables. This webinar presented by Stephen Birch of the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity will review the specifics of these needs, and sources from which an analyst may collect these variables.
